Avocent introduces its DSView Licensing Platform

Previously, DSView licenses were allocated on the basis of concurrent users. From July 1st this has been changed to reflect the number of devices that are being managed by the software. All existing licenses will be migrated to this new model.

Strategy
Avocent is providing this to you now so that you may be informed and prepared for the July 1st transition.  Because Avocent uses a channel sales model almost exclusively, we are counting on you.

• Your first task as our partner is to convert as many existing customers on maintenance contract to the new program.  We are happy to share the data we have if you desire.
• The second task or priority is to identify customers using DSView3 who are not under contract and move them to the new program.
• The final task in priority order is to recruit new customers by leading first with DSView 3 as the central data center management tool to manage physical and virtual, help with consolidation, manage power and more.
