Stonesoft evaluated by Gartner

The Magic Quadrant for Enteprise Network Firewalls provides an overview of the enterprise firewall markets and its development, positioning vendors in the field based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision. The primary key issue of the research is finding the most effective technologies and best practices to protect networks, systems, ap­plications and data. Gartner regards the enterprise network firewall market as a mature yet significantly dynamic market. While the demands on network firewalls are changing, firewalls need to interoperate as part of the larger security ecosphere.

According to Gartner, “there are many viable firewall providers, but the leading vendors provide a path to more inspection and blocking capabilities at higher speeds and at lower price points. Product selection decisions should be driven by organization-specific requirements in areas such as the relative importance of firewall capabilities, ease and speed of deployment, acquisition cost, the IT organization's support capabilities, and integration with existing security and network infrastructure.
